A standard one-year workmanship warranty for a residential fence includes coverage for any defects or issues that occur due to the installation process—such as misaligned panels, loose posts, faulty gate hardware, or other construction mistakes.

Coverage Includes:

      • Problems from improper installation

(e.g., posts not set to proper depth or not anchored securely)

       • Misaligned rails or panels

       • Gate issues like improper installation or hardware malfunction

       • Faulty installation of hardware and fasteners

What’s Not Covered:

      • Defects in fence materials themselves (these are usually covered separately by a manufacturer’s warranty)

      • Damage from weather, animals, or accidents (“acts of God”)

      • Normal wear and tear, fading, discoloration, or rot

      • Any modifications or repairs made by someone other than the original contractor

      • Improper or lack of maintenance by the homeowner

      • Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable

      • Altering or modifying the fence may void the warranty

      • Proof of purchase is typically required for claims
